This is the first time the NZ Resuscitation conference has hosted in Rotorua and the Energy Events Centre is a versatile, multi-purpose convention venue making it perfect for NZResus2020!

Positioned on the edge of Lake Rotorua, the Energy Events Centre's unique location within the picturesque Government Gardens provides extensive, complimentary, car parking and is also within easy walking distance of the retail precinct, accommodation, restaurants, cafes and spa facilities.

How to get to Rotorua
Rotorua is centrally located within the North Island, and is part of the Western Bay of Plenty region. There are many transport options available when planning your trip to Rotorua including a variety of flight options from all over New Zealand, as well as coaches and shuttles that run up and down the North Island regularly. 

Rotorua is a leisurely 2.5 hour drive, or 45 minute flight from Auckland, and a 5.5. hour drive or 1 hour flight, from Wellington. The Rotorua Airport is only 10 minutes from the city centre and offers regular bus services throughout the day.

Rotorua does not have an international airport and we recommend our delegates to fly into Auckland International Airport which is serviced by several international airlines. Please click here to find out more.

How to get to the Energy Events Centre
The Energy Events Centre is located in the Government Gardens. Access is via the Princess Gate Arches that are at the end of Arawa Street leading into Queens Drive. As you drive through the Arches you will see the Museum ahead on the right at the first round about. Continue through the next round about, you will see the Energy Events Centre on the right, turn right then left into the car park.

Car Parking
The Energy Events Centre has 370 car parks adjacent to the building, with a staff car park at the rear of the building which can be used if required for the overflow exhibition parking.

Sulphur Point
Within walking distance from the Energy Events Centre, you'll find a beautiful area to stroll and discover unique views of a volcanic playground. Sulphur Point lives up to its name, with some magnificent examples of steaming vents and boiling mud pools, sitting right on the shores of Lake Rotorua. The boardwalk is located just behind the Energy Events Centre. 

Government Gardens 
The Gardens provide facilities for bowls, croquet, petanque, golf, a soldiers' memorial for servicemen belonging to the local Te Arawa tribe, the Klamath Falls Rose Gardens, Te Runanga Tearooms, a band rotunda and other buildings of historic interest. The Gardens is also home to one of the most photographed buildings in New Zealand, the Rotorua Museum (currently close due to earthquake re-strengthening). For more activities click here
